In our first technical note, we would like to bring you on a glimpse into our technology. At the heart of our HEVO-Chain, we have the Electrochemical Core, which Fusion Fuel has completely engineered in a unique way:
1. Our latest HEVO generation has an exclusive design: unlike the standard technological solutions, the HEVO is composed of two individual anodic chambers for a single cathodic chamber.
2. Multiple electrochemical cells allow for a daily production rate of about 6 kg of green hydrogen per day, on a single HEVO unit.
3. Designed for industrial production, modular deployment and low cost: through simplified engineering solutions and use of inexpensive structural materials.
Through R&D efforts and with our inner curiosity to explore multiple materials solutions, the Electrochemistry team of Fusion Fuel is already reaching challenging targets as the utilization of the lowest amounts of platinum group metals, known as PGMs materials. Today, Fusion Fuel operates our HEVO with a PGM amount of 0.51 mg/W, which is already 36% below the DoE targets for PEM electrolysis technologies. And being even more ambitious, we are validating a new catalysts technology which would take us down to 0.18 mg/W by mid-2024. This is a 77% decrease of PGM materials and would place our technology on the 2030s targets of the DoE.
More exciting details about our technology are available in our technical note.
